Stephen Cole
Stephen is one of the world’s most experienced television anchors, having launched five international news channels and chaired major global events. He’s hosted at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the World Science Forum in Jordan, the Gulf Power Awards in Qatar, and the Eurasian Media Forum in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Starting in the launch line-up at Sky News in 1989, he was headhunted to launch CNN International in Atlanta, then returned to London to re-launch BBC World. He also created the world’s first IT show, BBC Click Online, taking it to 28 countries in seven years—earning praise from the likes of Bill Gates and Arthur C. Clarke.
With Sir David Frost, he launched Al Jazeera in London and Doha. He later chaired the Institute of Diplomacy and Business, then helped launch CGTN Europe, creating and hosting The Agenda with Stephen Cole. A regular judge for the Royal Television Society and BAFTA, Stephen has interviewed world leaders, Hollywood stars, and hosted the Oscars for six years on BBC World. His three sons claim he tells the worst jokes on Earth.
